Brewfest 2025
We had so much fun celebrating with you all at Brewfest this spring! With visits from shelter pups available for adoption, fun DJ tunes and tastes from all our amazing brewery partners, it was truly a party for the animals!

Front Street Animal Shelter
Our primary purpose is to support the needs of the Front Street Shelter!
In addition to supporting direct operational needs of the shelter, we work collaboratively on multiple community programs supporting pets and people in need.
Veterinary Support of Owned Pets
Every year, Front Street Shelter receives hundreds of requests for assistance from pet owners in the community who cannot afford emergency care for their beloved pets. Friends of Front Street organizes veterinary care for qualified applicants and supports owners through the process of getting their pet healthy again.

AdoptUs Hospice Care
Among the many pets who come through the doors at Front Street Shelter every year, there are always some with medical conditions that can only be managed, not cured. In order to help these pets find adoptive homes to enjoy their remaining time, Friends of Front Street provides reimbursement for the care needed to manage their condition, and assists adopters with the costs associated with their transition out of this life when the time comes.

Community Assistance Partner
Lynn Madison and the Chester Foundation
For over 20 years, Lynn Madison has been working with unhoused members of our community. She helps owners access veterinary care for their pets, organizes an annual drive for dog coats in the fall, and finds homes for pets in need of a fresh start. We are happy to support Lynn’s work through the Chester Foundation for the third year!

Spay/Neuter Partnerships
Community Spay Neuter Clinic
CSNC works tirelessly to combat pet overpopulation in Sacramento! We are thrilled to support them and fund spay/neuter services for TNR volunteers focusing on colony stabilization in the community.

Friends of Friends Rescue Grants
When pets at the Front Street Shelter need medical or behavioral rehabilitation beyond the scope of the shelter, Friends of Front Street provides micro-grants to rescue and transfer partners to help with the cost of treatment.
